Sarah has done her PhD with Siemens Healthineers and was supervised by W. Heiß at i-Meet. Her work was devoted to metal-organic perovskites for direct X-ray conversion. Especially she introduced a new strategy to integrate perovskite wafers with a read-out electronics, which allowed to demonstrate an X-ray imager with both, high sensitivity and high spatial resolution. Further, she demonstrated the scalability of this approach and studied the long-term stability of such X-ray detectors. While the majority of the work was focused on methyl-ammonium lead perovskite wafers, she expanded this approach also to lead-free perovskites. She defended the work on November 3, and we want to congratulate her for this important achievement and wish all the best in her
future career!
