5th iPEN Progress Meeting at i-MEET

The University of Erlangen-Nürnberg with the Chair Materials for Electronics and Energy Technology (i-MEET) hosted the 5th EU- Israel project iPEN Innovative Photonics Education in Nanotechnology Progress Meeting in November 2019 and the 3rd Intensive Course in Laser Based Patterning & Sintering Processes, Characterization and Soft Skills Development. The workshop gathered 26 Teachers and 76 Students as well as PhD students from Netherland, Greece, Italy, Israel, Poland and Germany. During the intence three days of the Workshop participants were able to discuss 17 lectures, 35 posters, 12 Journal Club (Reviews made by PhD students) presetations and join excursions to the Solar Fabrik in Nürnberg and Reserach Laboratories of i-MEET. For information: The EU- Israel project iPEN  (Innovative Photonics Education in Nanotechnology) has as a primary objective to provide an education training program to young researchers (postgraduate, Research students) in the most common used photonic tools & techniques in a Nanotechnology Laboratory. iPEN project during its development will include the development of online & offline modules, the organization of intensive courses, that will foster the photonic learning skills and build the confidence of young researchers in the field of Nanotechnologies
